About ACN

The American Card Catalog numbered the sets. ACN numbers the cards.

ACN is a free, public catalog of baseball cards. Each card gets one permanent number that tells you who made it, when, in which set, and where it falls in that set. Collectors, dealers, writers and researchers can then point to the exact same card without long descriptions or guesswork.

The catalog runs from 1886 to 2025. It covers over 1.16M cards in 19,689 sets from 454 publishers. Every set is listed card by card, and each set page shows how many cards it has.

ACN doesn't sell anything. It has no prices, grades, accounts or ads, just the catalog.
